On Saturday, 11th July 2026, I had the pleasure of conducting a hands-on, interactive Indian cooking class for Jack Jones and Ruby from England.
The cooking session went exceptionally well, and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Both of them were eager to learn the cooking process, paying close attention to the techniques, methods, and procedures involved in preparing each dish.
It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm throughout the class. They especially enjoyed the lunch they had prepared themselves and were delighted by how simple yet flavorful the recipes were. They described the food as delicious and were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to recreate authentic Indian dishes.
In fact, they enjoyed the meal so much that they packed the leftovers and took them back to their hotel to enjoy for dinner!
During the session, I taught them how to prepare:
They also received printed copies of all the recipes so they could recreate these dishes at home.
After the cooking session, I took Jack and Ruby to the supermarket in my apartment complex.
They purchased several packets of Indian spices and condiments to take back to England so they could continue cooking the recipes they had learned during the class.
It was truly a pleasure to share my community's traditional recipes and cooking techniques with such enthusiastic participants.
I am sincerely grateful to @Travelling Spoon for giving me this wonderful opportunity to introduce visitors to authentic Indian home cooking and create a memorable cultural experience.
I look forward to welcoming many more food lovers to future cooking sessions!
