Honored with the Excellence Award at the 13th International Anglo-Indian Reunion in Cochin – A Proud Moment!

I am still filled with emotion and deep gratitude as I reflect on a truly special moment in my life. From January 11th to 17th, 2026, the vibrant city of Cochin (Kochi), India, hosted the 13th International Anglo-Indian Reunion — a wonderful gathering that brought together Anglo-Indians from across India and around the world to celebrate our shared heritage, culture, and community spirit. It was during this reunion that I was deeply touched and profoundly honored to be selected for the Excellence Award. This recognition was bestowed upon me by The Federation of Anglo-Indian Associations in India and the dedicated Organizing Committee of the 13th International Anglo-Indian Reunion. The award was presented by Mr. Gordon Maher, President of the International Federation of Anglo-Indian Associations (based in Perth, Australia), and I also received a special certificate from Dr. Charles Dias, President of the Federation of Anglo-Indian Associations in India. This honor was in appreciation of my work and efforts in preserving Anglo-Indian cuisine — a delicious bridge between East and West that blends British culinary traditions with the rich, aromatic spices of India. Through recipes, sharing, and passion, I've tried in my small way to keep alive the unique flavors and traditions of our community — from comforting roasts and stews to beloved dishes like ball curry, mulligatawny, kedgeree, and so much more.Anglo-Indian cuisine is more than food; it's a living expression of our history, identity, and cultural fusion. Preserving these culinary delights helps ensure that future generations remember and cherish who we are.My heart overflows with thanks once again to:

  • Dr. Charles Dias
  • The Federation of Anglo-Indian Associations in India
  • The entire Organizing Committee of the 13th International Anglo-Indian Reunion

Thank you for this incredible recognition. It motivates me to continue sharing, cooking, and celebrating our Anglo-Indian legacy. To everyone in our wonderful community — near and far — let's keep the spirit alive through our stories, our food, and our togetherness.
